Obituary for Tommy Daryl "Tom" Sarratt

Tommy Daryl Sarratt, 69 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away on July 27, 2017. He was born on August 21, 1947 to Ellie and Inez Sarratt in Bakersfield, California. Tom grew up in and around Roseburg before joining the Navy in 1966, where he served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. After his enlistment, he lived in CA for a period of time before moving back to Roseburg.
Tom enjoyed many hobbies, including golfing, fishing and most of all working with computers. He was always working on someone’s PC in his home office. Tom was also an accomplished bass singer. His rich voice was often heard at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Roseburg where he served faithfully as a member for over 20 years. His love for the Lord was always evident as he was often found sharing his faith with those he came in contact with.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Ellie L. Sarratt, mother Inez Sarratt and brother John Sarratt. He is survived by his niece, Nina Naftzger and her husband Clayton and children Jacob and Caylee of Coos Bay, OR. Larry Sarratt and children Amber and James of Reedsport, OR, and Marshall Sarratt and son Jonathan of MT.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church , 5599 N. Umpqua Hwy, Roseburg, OR. Interment will be at IOOF Cemetery in Myrtle Creek.
