Obituary for Texanna Talburt (Walden)

Texanna Talburt (Walden)
Texanna Talburt passed away August 6, 2017, in Roseburg, Oregon. She was born October 29th, 1929, in Butler Hollow, located near Seligman, Missouri, to Joe and Vinnie Mae (Roberts) Walden. She was the last born of 10 children. Her parents said her birth was so significant, it caused the stock market to crash!
She attended school at Seligman, Missouri, being the 9th of the 10 children to graduate from Seligman Schools.

Texanna married and had 2 children, Philip and Retha. After her divorce, Texanna had to buy a car, learn to drive, and get a job. She retired from Roseburg Lumber after working there many years.
The house she lived in burned down, losing many cherished possessions. She lost both of her children in 1971 in a motorcycle accident. Despite these tragic losses, Texanna faced life with a sense of humor and a smile on her face. She was extremely caring and sensitive to others, always able to recognize a need and be supportive & helpful. She had a memory like a steel trap and often shared stories of her life and family. She and her children loved a good laugh, and always had a positive attitude towards life. She was a devout Christian and attended Church of Christ in Sutherlin, OR.
Preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters, four brothers and her two children, Phillip and Retha. Her only surviving sibling is her brother Wayne Walden of Seligman, MO, many nieces and nephews and close friends.
She is together now with her children and will be missed sorely by those who loved her.
Visitation will be held at Wilson’s Chapel of the Roses on August 14th, at 3 pm to 5 pm followed by graveside services at the Wilbur Cemetery on August 15 at 10 am. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Garden Valley Church of Christ August 15th, at 11:30 am.
